Christmas Drive is a Success!
Marquette Michigan, December 16, 2006 – The Marquette GOP hosted a
Christmas party Friday night to support a food drive for the children at
Teaching Family Homes.  Guest were asked to bring a non-perishable item.
The event succeeded in raising 250 items as well as cash donations.

Joel Westrom, Chair for the Marquette GOP, was pleased with the event. “It’s
great to see the community get together for a great cause during the
holidays.” Says Westrom. “It’s important that we think of all the families and
children in our community this Christmas. Every little bit helps and we were
honored to host the event.”

Teaching Family Homes, a non-profit organization, was grateful for the event.
“We work hard for the families and children in need and are always pleased
when we have organizations support us.” Says Chris Myers, Director of
Teaching Family Homes. “The food and cash donations will go a long way.”

Returning from session in Lansing, State Representative Tom Casperson
and wife Diane attended the event to show support. “My wife and I were glad

real busy but it feels great to take time out and help those in need this
Christmas.”
