Bush added to the deficit in his 1st term... then was pressured by republicans in congress to control spending.
Dems took congress in 2006, and rather than pass a budget for 2008, used continuing resolutions to keep spending
at high levels rather than cut.
Had the trend continued 2008 may not have been so bad. Thanks Harry & Nancy!
