Marquette County Republican Party

The Town Hall Meeting on September 1^st was attended by over 700 participants.

U.S. Congressman (and candidate for Governor) Pete Hoekstra took questions for 2 hours from people across the 1^st District.  We were happy to have him, since our own congressman was too shy to meet is constituents face to face.  Rep. Stupak did hold a televised meeting with questions e-mailed and phoned in – presumably so he could pick the questions he answered more easily.

We plan to have a teleconference with Michigan Senate Leader Mike Bishop, who will discuss pending Legislation, and the state of things in Lansing.

Health Care will be the topic of discussion at our monthly meeting,

so you can arm yourself with arguments to refute the arguments of the left.
